XCMG has remolded the landscape of the world’s leading brands in loaders.
On Nov. 24th, 2020, the first day of Bauma China 2020, XCMG launched the XC9350 wheel loader to the world. XCMG has currently become the only manufacturer in China and the third in the world who have the ability to produce ultra-class loaders of more than 35 tonnes in capacity.
It was indeed quite hard for Bauma China 2020 to be held on time during raging of COVID-19 globally. Therefore the meaning of launching the 35-tonne loader was significant.
Starting from 1985, a dream of progress for 35 years
In 1980s, China’s market has just begun to transform from planned economy to market economy. It boosted the infrastructure construction which stimulates the need of construction machinery.
In 1982, with the basic experience of making parts and moulds, XCMG started prototyping of ZL40 loader. Thanks to the experience and techniques of making tractors, XCMG soon managed to work out a prototype and passed the province’s examination. Then the product quickly went into the market.
At that time China’s loader manufacturing technology was still mainly for small-tonnage loaders. All the industry in China had no idea about how to produce large-scale loaders, and the situation that China was only the processor in the industry chain and could only export low-price goods also set a huge limit on the competitiveness of Chinese brands.
