The project successfully completed after 10 months’ tight lifting. Another engineering application was in a petrifaction project in Maoming, Guangdong on June 8th,2012. XGC28000, with 72 meters’ main boom, 640 ton super structure, 26000 T•M, 100% load rate, took only one hour to put the hydrocracking reactor in right position successfully.

Another thing to be mentioned is that the hydrocracking reactor is in high value and counts more than 1000 tons’ weight and 20 meters high. The third case took place in Huian, Quanzhou on August 1st,2012.

Which counts 4.5 meters in diameter, 28 meters in length, weighing up to 740 ton, to the right position. The max rated lifting weight under the mode main boom 54 meters with super-lift and 16 meters in diameter, exactly the mode used in this project, is 745 ton, which means the load rate for the crane reached up to 99.3%.

“Thousand-tonne Family” create records
The latest “Great Action” for the XGC28000 took place in Sinopec Energy Chemical Base in Ningxia province on Dec.19th,2012. It’s a project for making olefin from methanol with capacity 500,000 ton per year.
In this project, the separating tower, which counts 100.9 meters high, 8 meters’ cylinder inside diameter, weighing up to 2300 ton, should be put in its right position.In this project, we took the disposable integral lifting instead of four-section grouped lifting from the past.
As the part to be lifted was too heavy, we finally decide using the hydraulic tower crane lift the up-side, and XCMG XGC28000 crawler crane lift the down-side.

The crawler crane adopted the combination of electro-hydraulic proportional control technology with 60m boom and stepless speed regulating with accurate control to ensure successful completion at the first attempt.

The job signifies that XCMG has made a new record in transporting and hoisting of large tonne cranes. And this amazing work relies on high-performance, stability and reliability of the crawler crane.

XCMG’s XGC88000, a 4000-ton crawler crane known as “World’s No.1 Crawler Crane”, which has been placed the first order by Sinopec, has successfully completed the overload test with 4500 ton, making a hoisting record in the world. XCMG did a solid work in R&D and manufacturing the 4000-ton crawler crane since the project settled in June, 2010. Signed joint development agreement with Sinopec during BAUMA China 2010 in Shanghai, held seven rounds of talks with Sinopec on product plan, the design finally get approved by leading experts from five industries. April,2012, the government brought this project into “National 863 Project”. Sinopec sent a supervision team to XCMG factory after officially signing the contract by both parties. The project moved into the assembly and testing step after all parts got ready in July, 2012.

We believe that after the 4000 tonne crawler crane be built and put into use, XCMG thousand-tonne crawler crane families will surely run among different construction sites for big projects around China, even around the world, and contribute XCMG power to the world top engineering constructions continuously.
