On September 6, the second China-Africa Construction Machinery Cooperation and Development Forum was held during BICES 2019. As a leader in Chinese construction machinery industry, XCMG attended the meeting and gave a keynote address.
The Forum is co-sponsored by China Construction Machinery Association and China-Africa Friendly Economic and Trade Development Foundation, with nearly 100 participants including 22 ambassadors Africas Development from 15 African countries, trade representatives and representatives of China construction machinery enterprises.
The meeting is hosted by Zhang Zongwu. Representatives of the Embassy of Zambia in China and the Embassy of Zimbabwe in China introduced the current situation of infrastructure in their countries Africas Development and the future development planning.
Since its entry into African market in 1990s, XCMG has gained the support and trust of local customers through more than 30 years of market exploration. According to the latest customs data, XCMG’s exports to Africa have exceeded 200 million dollars each year in the past three years. From January to July this year, XCMG’s exports in Africa has far exceeded the volume of same period last year, and its market share has steadily increased, ranking first among all export brands for 30 consecutive years.

UNEP officer in Africa assessed XCMG like this, “two Chinese brands can be seen everywhere in Africa, one is HUAWEI, the other is XCMG.” This assessment is just a epitome of XCMG’s reputation in Africa. XCMG equipment can be found in a lot of projects, such as the largest oil refinery in Africa, Mombasa-Nairobi railway, hundred-meter fire truck order of Angola, national stadium of the Republic of Guinea, etc.
